https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jam...erein_id/349/wettbewerb_id//funktion/1/plus/0 We have lost four of the last five games he's been in charge of and only scored one goal. Won 4 and lost 7. Never had a draw in his eleven games. Just four yellows in the last 7 of our matches so he's the opposite to the ref we had last night.
Get ready for Saturday, I’ve never witnessed a championship team that has so many divers. They are an odious bunch.
Potentially ominous, Linnington has a tendency to give soft penalties. We conceded two a few years back in a 4-0 defeat at QPR when Adel Taarabt kept throwing himself down, and he was also the referee heavily criticised recently for sending a Leeds player off and awarding a penalty to Millwall when Bradshaw took a dive. He also reffed us away at Charlton last season, and they continually went down at the slightest contact.
They not crap though are they ? What we get is Refs developing a bias either consciously or subconsciously for one team . I’m not saying it’s solely Barnsley that refs go against but it’s definitely a teams like attitude imo . Other clubs will no doubt have their issues with refs but while ever FA don’t question it , it will carry on . The eight bookings on Tuesday was ridiculous , the number of times teams continually to foul us at Oakwell before a ref books one of ours for a first or minor offence is commented on many times on here . The penalty at Sunderland which wasn’t and he could not be sure of from his position . There’s lots more , The fact anyone brings this up and are jumped on by posters who exaggerate saying we calling it a conspiracy are doing us no favours It’s not a conspiracy no one is planning to do us over with bad decisions but it’s a problem that teams like are enduring .
They are meant to be impartial but week in week out I don’t see it. We time wasted no more or less than any team that’s winning on Tues but I have never seen a ref wave so many cards around so quickly.
Cowley in the Huddersfield Examiner today complaining about two ref decisions. He wanted a free kick when Lewis O Brien got a gashed left shin. He also wanted a penalty for the Dougall challenge on Fraizer Campbell which he's seen back and says it's stonewall. I did think at the time we were lucky to not give yet another penalty. The gashed shin challenge just looked like a 50/50 ball. It was a hard challenge but the ball was got.
