Removed this post because, on reflection, I realise that I was generalising in sharing my experience of some American and a particular culture that I experienced. It's wrong to do that. The members of the board are their own peopled and acting within their rights as pay masters. I think that Daniel has be treated in a shabby fashion and I'm surprised he didn't leave of his own accord given what he was being asked to do.
depends on the organisation and the individual. i worked for an American company for 10 years and it was THE best, most motivational and stimulating work experience I've had. theres far too much yank bashing on here at the minute. the feeding frenzy needs to stop until we know what actually has happened. if ever we will. it's wrong to apportion blame without knowing all the facts. but tell that to thousands of disgruntled fans who have already made their mind up? as much chance of them listening as there would be a snowball surviving in hell.
Yea a change had to come. In this **** policy they have driven. I wasn't in favour of how the previous regime sometimes carried it out, but these have taken it to a whole new level.
I have worked with American, Chinese (9 years), Japanese, Australian, Korean, French and German management teams. I can say with some authority and a lot of experience that the Americans are some of the least honorable. I know 'honorable' is a little used and old fashioned word, but it sums up this debacle perfectly.
I suspect the love child of Brian Clough and Alex Ferguson couldn’t mould this bunch into an even vaguely competent Championship team. Time will tell.
OK, just my experience, must have been the Americans I worked with. I’m not yank bashing I met some amazing Americans. I think that their commitment to positivity is very stimulating and is very effective, but it rules out and fails to tolerate opposing views. A culture clash as I said. I don’t know how this affected the Stendel position and at this stage nobody does, apart from those involved. My point is that we are in the position we are in and we need someone to believe that we can survive in a difficult position. If Daniel is not that man, then he needs to move on and do do we.
The bastion of freedom and democracy, the good old US of A. In fact, they believe in both so much that they’ll quite happily impose them on other nations, whether they like it or not and by force if necessary.
Game Day. We’re not playing bloody Scrabble - it’s Match Day. Playing for the Jersey. It’s a shirt, not a jumper.
