Hopefully. No actual substance to this btw, just like the owners have brought in two years, nowt. So no real loss as I see it
I was saying this for quite a while but was still trying to stay positive that they will come good for us. Note to self: eeedjot!
Depends on how much vitriole they can endure from the fans. Having read some of the other chat forums and Tyke thingies there's some strong and nasty stuff being said. There's only so much one can endure, even multi millionaires.
Wouldn’t matter if the late kipper Jackson was in control the extent to which these owners have invested so far.
Exactly who is lined up to take over the club with lots of money to spare to invest in highly paid experienced players to lead us to the Premier League? Let's not forget what happened at Bolton Wanderers. This situation is disappointing and the owners' strategy is now questionable. You could see from what Stendel said on more than one occasion that he did not think that a team of such young and inexperienced players could cope with the Championship. He seems to have been proved right - or, at worst, he was not able to adopt tactics that might have helped. We played a very young side at Preston. Cavare and Thiam and Pinillos were available, presumably but not chosen. A gung ho high press is all very well, but shutting up shop when away from home and hoping for a goal from a corner like the one we got might have been better tactics. Sibbick is not a centre half - unless Andersen was injured.
Why would they leave? We have made fortunes as a club and they’ll take every penny. And keep selling for profit. Young talented footballers will come here knowing the procedures that we can make them better players and flogged for better money. Barnsley is a hardcore footballing town and we can’t let this beat us. Theirs not much to do in Barnsley. When my old man moved from Ireland he had nothing to do but he found himself going to watch Barnsley as his new hometown and he’s took me ever since. This is now my team my hometown and I will do anything it takes to keep it that way
exactly...if these guys jump ship then our ship starts sinking. did pc find it easy to sell the club? the hell he did!! I've said it before on here.....careful what you wish for. if the owners walk we will become a car crash.
We've survived for well over hundred years without them. They aren't our saviours. We will be just fine without them.
They can't walk away practically, unless they give the club away for free - never going to happen. What they can do is take any profit out of the club and not re-invest it to protect their initial outlay if they feel that the fans don't want them.........
They own the club, so unless you've got the money and they want to sell then its theirs to do what they want with. Are you expecting them to walk away from their investment because of a short term issue with the head coach?
Well they aren't hugely reinvesting it now are they? And there are corporate laws for wilfully damaging a company or undertaking acts as a director that aren't in the best interests of the company. Even if a majority stakeholder and director, the two roles are opposing and separate.
