Could sign note suitable replacements I suppose? A striker the coach is will to play, a left back seen the coach does rate one of them good enough to play. A defensive midfielder as the only one we have was out injured.
If the reality is we can't sign players who are good enough to play in this league then that really puts me off going to watch. Which is depressing.

I'd guess if ..the plan.. had to be scrapped.. the " in it for the long term" board would drop us at the first opportunity..
    And good riddance I'd say..

We live in an age where players think they have the absolute right to retire at 30 multi millionaires..
    Football's been b0ll0cks a while now..

    Intrigued.

I think Lindsay and Davies wanted to leave for more money.

I think Pinnock wanted to leave so he could move to London to be closer to family and friends.

I think Kieffer Moore did NOT want to leave - he stood a while after the Sheffield United match and stared at the Ponty. I maybe wrong here but at the time I thought that this was an action of someone that was likely to leave but was reluctant to do so. And out of those that left - this is the player that we have definitely missed the most this season.

I don't think that is a thing again? A slave is forced to work for someone against their will without remuneration; a Championship footballer is one of a privileged few, paid generously for their efforts, regardless of results - at a rate that is considerably higher than the majority of the working population. A Championship footballer is also traded without the threat of displacement, years of mental and physical abuse to themselves and their offspring from the employer, or racial discrimination from the employer. But yeah, maybe it's still a thing; maybe it exists in the form of Championship football.

I make you right but this set of players should think they've won the lottery playing for us.

Is honouring a contract that they signed, and well paid to carry out, the same as slavery? I'm not saying we keep players that are 100% determined to leave because it can be counterproductive but we seem to be selling players as a first option and that, as we are seeing, is equally counterproductive.

There has to be a balance struck. We simply cannot continue with this template.
