Rinse n repeat, doesn't matter who head coach is .spreadsheet fc are now just a money making production line
Tbf that doesn't really make sense. If we go down we will lose a $hit load of money. Inept yes. Naive yes. But the owners will definitely not want relegation.
Maybe, may not be here for the start of the next. The role of coach is important yes but is not the determining factor of how we progress as a club.
At some point at some level some players will have to perform to make that happen. Sadly for us it seems unlikely to be this level at this point.
But they’re: A. not taking out any of those short term profits, they’re made to build a better team (that’s the plan) B. The big profits come from success on the field When examining people’s actions it’s too easy for too many to jump to the conclusion of malice when incompetence is the much more common answer. Anyone who believes that anyone at this football club is happy with failure is deluding themselves and just looking for a scapegoat to make them feel better.
I don’t jump to conclusions. I am just aware that commodities investors exist to make money. I don’t judge that or criticise it. Making massive profits might be ideal but as long as you are making some profit your goal is realised. As I see it they have made a low risk investment that may make them some profit. They would rather accept that then make a risky investment. Results on the pitch are irrelevant to the model. They would rather them be good but that’s not the object of their exercise. Anyone who thinks commodities investors are here for anything other than profits is naive. We are not been run as a sporting club but as a business / investment opportunity. While the profits they realise may be small if you own a 100 companies all turning over small profits for little risk the profits soon add up. I don’t blame them for following this model but it’s more fool us if we don’t see it for what it is.
