That defending looks even worse just clear the ball anderson! Why try shield it in your own box with so many derby players nearby, and collins glued to his goal line. Woodrow should have scored that chance before we scored could of even taken a touch.
Their goals don't look any better on second inspection. The first especially was awful. I'd expect my girls U12s to deal with that situation, defender and keeper leaving it for each other in the 6 yard box is shambolic. With the second Anderson had time to react after Mowatt had smashed it into his back. Agree with @Gordon Owen regarding confidence.
Mads trying to hold player off instead of clearing even for a corner for first goal , then a reckless tackle from behind for pen . Needs to learn and fast but surely he’s been brought through academy’s etc to know how to deal with those situations .
What the great Rimmo once said to me and my fellow defenders about that situation, back in the 70s while training with Barnsley U15s: - First, boot the ball as hard as you can in any random direction except your own net. Then, argue with your team mates about it.
Before the ball came back in for the penalty Anderson had chance to launch it and failed, he had a shocker last night.
I thought the pen looked dubious, not much mention on here. Some on the Derby forum say it doesn't look one.
