People are frustrated because that's the way of the world these days. I want it. And I WANT IT NOW. Sad
I am proud of most of the team, and the management staff I genuinely think we’re maxing out on what we have and that is all you can ask for. My issue is the owners, they’ve lied over and over again since they’ve been here. More fool me I genuinely thought we were onto something with these last year, but now I’m getting really fed up with what they’ve done to this team over the summer.
Talking of chips, I heard yesterday that Sheffield was twinned with Las Vegas. The connection being was that you can get sex for chips in both cities.
That they would invest every penny they receive, that they would break the record transfer. That we’ve just had the best transfer window in the clubs history to name a few.
The 'nothing crazy' statement is starting to bite Conways arse. You couldn’t be much crazier that start a championship season with a weaker team than you had in league one.
We don't know all the ins and outs, how much of the money is paid in installments, how much it cost for the contract renewals, how much they're prepared to spend in January..
I would be surprised if a bunch of billionaires were sharing out what was left in the bank account after the last window, would expect that it sits in the account waiting for the next window so that hasn’t been shown to be a lie yet. Understand they expected to break the transfer record last window but the player decided not to come? So that was a statement of intent that didn’t work out. Can’t make an instant judgement on your third statement because not enough time has passed to tell yet. I’m not a happy clapper nor am I in love with the new owners I am just realistic enough to see that we aren’t going to buy a top 6 team and in doing so put us in the financial **** so we have to build one and that doesn’t happen overnight. People want instant results and that was never ever going to happen.
So if this is the case. Why sell a striker leaving us extremely short in that position anyway. Replace him with someone who clearly isn’t fancied by they management staff, he’s not had a kick yet apart from a few cameos. We don’t need to sell when players are under contract, if you’re not going to re-invest why say it? Leaving it until January is risky business, not saying it will be but there’s a possibility it will be too late by then. Having a statement of intent is irrelevant to football fans in my opinion. If we bid 30 million for Messi and he doesn’t come you can’t then as owners of a football club said “we tried” when they’ve already planted the seed they’re going to break the record. I appreciate that is an extreme example but it’s all the same. I can make a judgement on it. It’s clearly false. The opening fixtures were very kind to our football club. We should’ve had points on the board, were playing well enough to do so and that’s no fault of the players or the management staff because all we can ask is 100% and we’re doing that week in week out. But to rip apart a promotion side and replace them with inexperienced players is a lot to ask at this level of football. I believe a lot of this squad have exciting careers so maybe if this window was in five years time I’d maybe agree but now? No chance. I don’t think anyone has said they expect us to be a top 6 side, I certainly don’t. I just don’t appreciate the owners saying things they want people to hear and not delivering.
Do we own the ground yet? I recall that was a priority when they bought the club. 6 months target wasn’t it? I love this football club and will travel all over the country to see them. Love the manager and back the players. I just don’t trust or back these owners unfortunately. Shame because I genuinely was excited when they were announced.
How can you say "someone who clearly isn't fancied by the management staff" when Stendel has already spoke of his qualities but not quite up to speed for the first team.He is now slowly introducing him. That says to me that he is clearly fancied by the management team.
Well it came across as a criticism of the lad I didn’t mean it to at all, I’ve not seen him enough to cast a judgement. However what I can go on is that he’s not getting in the squad for a reason. If what you say is true from Stendel then that may explain something. But then the other argument is we’ve sold a striker who wether rated or not was going to play most games in this squad, replaced him with someone who in October still isn’t first team ready. Not good enough and I can’t see that the management staff are over the moon with that either.
But he is getting in the squad and currently coming off the bench and playing. You state that KM was going to play most games, where do you get that from? He is unproven in this division.... and it is still September
