Well I'd got a trip over planned for that one so it looks like that's me not going as we have plans for Friday night. Still, as long as we're keeping Sky happy, eh?
Really not impressed with the number of Saturday afternoon games we are losing . It’s not like we are a bloody big club ! For me the Saturday routine with the pub beforehand etc.... is what it’s all about. It’s just got a weird feel to it this season so far to me...
Saturday 24th August: Home to Luton Saturday 31st August: Away to Wigan Saturday 7th September: International break Saturday 14th September: No game Saturday 21st September: Away to Forest Saturday 28th September: No game Saturday 5th October: Away to PNE Saturday 12th October: International break Saturday 19th October Home to Swansea Saturday 26th October Away to Huddersfield Saturday 2nd November: No game Saturday 9th November: Stoke at home Saturday 16th November: International break Saturday 23rd November: Away at Blackburn. So that will be TWO that's TWO home Saturday games in 14 weeks. Three and a half months with two fixtures at home at the time we want games at. It will affect crowds especially if we don't pick up points soon as folks will not pay our POTD prices to freeze whilst we lose in cold weather.
This was the one game I wasn’t going to be able to make, my first miss in three years but now I can do. Swings and roundabouts.
A huge positive for churtonred, old mate, is that he won't now get to meet me. We'd made tentative plans a couple of months back to get together (along with Mrs churtonred & barnsley66) for a drink.
Well just as long as they have taken into account the long journey that BCFC fans will have to make on a school day. Oh...
It's pants, it really is. However, how many of us, me included, regards squad strengthening said 'we got X amount of £s for him, y amount of £s for him, PLUS there's £6m Sky money'. Well, this is a consequence of pocketing the Sky money. They pull all the strings. All of them. Would a single player command £450k per WEEK were it not for Sky? No.
Another one I cant make now. Serious consideration if I want a season pass if we stay up again next season.
