Why couldn't we wear our home strip at Wigan?

    Barnsley play in red. So do other clubs and we play in our change strip if we play one away from home.

    Why you'd want to watch a Barnsley team play in any other colour unless we have to is beyond me. I get excited by red because it's what I've grown up watching us in. I think of my club if I see a bucket or a lampshade that's Barnsley red.

    Watching us play in an away kit and it could be any old team. But I guess I need to embrace the hype, commercialism and shiny Skyness of the modern world. I'm just out of touch for wanting us to do what we've always done.

    I go to watch the club. I support a club and players, not a colour. I couldn't give a **** what colour we're playing in.

    After we wore brown and white stripes, we changed to blue and white stripes and black shorts.

    I for one am grateful beyond belief we got that nonsense out of our system.
