Looked at some of the many comments when the teamsheets were released, copied a few on here, and thought about the many conspiricy theories about Cavare, and the team formation and imminent thrashing we were going to get. Credits due to the posters if one of those is yours. What a difference 90 minutes makes! I’m going for 6-1 to Wigan. Think it highlights how poor recruitments been if cavare is still deemed our best full back Cavare It's obvious something has happened and he's not going to be picked Bizarre We should send in that lad with the big teeth to try and negotiate us a 3-0 defeat now. I cant see how this can work, if we get something today then Stendel is a coaching genius. Thought Cavare was motm today. A win, a draw and a loss with him in the team, two clean sheets and just two goals conceded. A draw and three defeats with him left out and 10 goals conceded.
We showed good energy today, but precious little else. Wigan will be scrapping it out at the bottom with us come end of season.
I think it was a great point against the second favourites for relegation. Progress from last Saturday but this is going to be a very tough season. Just hoping that three sides end up with less points than us.
I'd say we got away with one down to the standard of the opposition. Two very poor sides on show yesterday. I wouldn't want to be turning that side out on a regular basis, not least against Leeds in 2 weeks time. But credit where it's due, the lads put in fantastic amount of effort.
It wasn’t a classic by any means but when you consider how many key players were out injured l think we would have won that at a canter with Woodrow, Mowatt etc available. Not sure what Wigan’s injury situation is like though
We shaded the game with a patched up team due to a shed load of injuries against a team full of experience and costly signings.
Sky reporter summed up very nicely with both teams lacking that bite in the last third of the pitch. 3 - 4 million for their striker our striker injured
