Should they be reinstated. The local MP said after the first deal collapsed another group were ready to step in.The second consortium proved to the EFL they had 7 million pounds ready to save and take over the club. These funds were shown to the EFL before the 5 o'clock deadline. If this is all true should Bury be saved and given there share back.?
If the group prove that the EFL were aware of the deal. Then get ready EFL. According to reports the £7m was in place. Would love it to happen but EFL say rules can't be changed. But lost count of the extensions they gave.
For the amount of arsing about with Bolton. Then yes. However I don't agree with either of them being allowed to continue this season now anyway. As harsh as that sounds.
We’ve got several threads on the subject. What’s so special about this view that it deserves a new one? Granted, this is one of the few threads started by Brian that isnt attacking the fan base for having the temerity to question to owners/staff so it does stand out a little.
I’d respond more fully but I’m in the progress of starting 37 new threads giving my opinion on recruitment.
Here in Ireland the similarly (let's say for self protection....incompetent) FAI has been brought to its knees by a campaign of protest and non attendance at Ireland games and in the media. They aren't quite finished yet but it's become a political issue and you would hope the change is pushed through to reform them. We can only hope that the same could happen in England.
Absolutely not. They've had multiple deadlines and failed to hit any of them. I do find it a bit suspicious that a group have rocked up with £7m after the deadline, something fishy about that.
The point is they didn’t rock up after the dead line funds were there before. they were discussing with efl best way to transfers it to bury.
I am in agreement. I do think they need to be kicked out. Six games suspended, and they missed an already extended deadline. The EFL may or may not be fit-for-purpose, but I don't know what else they can do.
Fair enough (if true), but the whole point of the EFL deadline was that the deal needed to be concluded by then. Proof of funds and a completed deal are a completely different thing, as we've seen with C&N. How long should we give this new Group to complete the deal?
