You can't. It's impossible. I play down there on a Tuesday and Thursday and we get told to do our own thing
No. He tells them he wants a player of a certain type, say a fast striker that scores goals. Then his next involvement is being given three to choose from. Its in black and white and you clearly haven't read it.
That’s true but he did sign up to that . Some posters thinking its all out of the blue and he’s been left high and dry but he put his strategy to the club when he was interviewed and the club put their cards in the table in how they would deal. I think that the idea he didn’t know what he was signing up to as some are suggesting are some way off the reality . However that doesn’t mean he can’t be unhappy with the choices just that he was aware of this .
It is, your right .he was talking to the substitutes a couple of minutes before he went in to dressing room that’s all .
Didn't understand Stendel at all today. Irrespective of everyone's opinions of the owners and the recruitment policy. He started without a recognised front line player. ( Schmidt or Chaplin.) Chosing 3 wide players. If fit to be on be on bench. fit to start and worry about whether knackered or not later. Then 3-0 down. He changed the backline around. Left one opportunity to change up front but was scuppered due to Diaby's injury. Bad day at the office for him today I'm afraid. When at work I pick the right tools at my disposal for the job. If I need a screwdriver and haven't got one. Then and only then will I use summat else.
I can't comment either way on that. I have no idea what was and wasn't said and agreed to during his recruitment. But I wasn't claiming he didn't know, just that his involvement in recruitment is minimal. The recruitment team are very very good. Almost flawless. If making money on signing and selling players is the goal. Which it is.
To be fair though, your screwdriver isn't going to turn around after 12 months and ask you to let it go to someone else for £20k a week!
Can’t remember on which forum I heard it on but Conway was telling the story of how Daniel was asked to apply for job said he cane with a strategy and I think it was Jack Ross that just said I’m gonna get you promotion which Conway said he dismissed as not a strategy. He answered someone’s question about Daniel being head coach and not manager and alluded to Daniel knowing clubs strategy .
Maybe not. but don't think Schmidt or Chaplin are going anywhere else at this moment in time so why not use em. But I may also have misunderstood your reply.
Think your right Marlon I was at the meeting when both were in attendance. It certainly was along those lines. But couldn't quote verbatim. Maybe someone can put the issue to bed and ask Daniel outright at the trust meeting next week. He may answer he may not. But I think it could be a bit clearer.
