Racism persists in this country because the white liberals? have hijacked the debate to such an extent that the black voice isn't heard - the black voice is blocked out.
When one group assumes a position where they think they know what is best for another group and stick up for that group they adopt a superior position. By default the other group is treated as inferior.

Give those discriminated against the powers for their voices to be heard, the powers to head up and run their own anti-discriminatory campaigns and stop assuming these groups want our patronage.

Yeah that’s the problem, because under represented minorities have a successful history of overthrowing their oppressors.

Let’s not ever stick up for the bullied, let the little guys pull themselves up by their bootstraps, after all, if they fail it’ll just be their own fault.

I didn't realise there were "perspectives" of racism other than it's repugnant on every level.

    But what do I know?

If I think something is wrong with regards to racism, or any discrimination, then I'll speak up about it, dustani. I don't need your, or anyone else's permission, to do so. I don't need to be a woman, black, Asian or whatever to object to it. I don't need to be disabled, I don't need to be a 14 year old girl being raped by a grooming gang.

Not sure what you're getting at here Red-Taff, you seem to be intent on chasing a subject to be offended by. Why don't you go off and do something less boring instead.

Constant accusations of racism where not justified are self defeating and it does happen.
The singing of the Diaby song is not in that bracket. It undermines the efforts to eliminate racism.
WTF? Why do I keep posting the same thing to argue with enablers or barrack room lawyers?

Of course it's racism is repugnant.
The victim of racism would have a different perspective on things compared to the perpetrator.

re Racism - Put bluntly the point I am making is that the voice of black people is not heard because the white people have taken over the debate. From that it could be inferred that the white people see themselves as the more powerful ones.
There's a nasty chant about a black player at the moment.
White voices all condemn it - but where is the black voice - Is the black voice drowned out?

it always interests me why someone goes to the trouble of replying to a posting but seems to ignore the actual message.

How do you know what skin colour the posters on here are unless they have specifically told you? Do you just presume everyone who posts online is white?

I think there is a patronising element due to the race argument. I think there is almost a "look at the black man...bless him" element which is just as bad and equally racist.

It's pretty rare to see someone from BAME background in Barnsley. I can't recall seeing many Barnsley fans of that category either. So its pretty easy to have a voice drowned out in that regard.

I'd be very interested to see what diversity data is held by the club on its fan base.

Last I heard, Kick It Out commented adversely.

I know people who are overly nice towards people of minority but deep down are as bigoted as they come. You'll never eradicate racism and prejudice is ingrained in people.

Do Roman Lukaku and Kick It Out count as the black voice?

I couldn’t disagree with what you have said enough. Im a liberal, centre left person. My personal values around my feeling for all humans irrespective of religion, colour, social background or sexuality create that.

I’ll stick up for any human that is or has been victimised. This debate would be far easier if we all just agreed we are one race of being rather than tribes of people with different skin pigmentation.

This is 2019, not 1960. It’s fcukking mental

Anyone that’s the victim of bullying or discrimination, I’m sorry I thought it was obvious, it’s a common turn of phrase I wasn’t referring to diminutive males.
