Barnsley FC (@barnsleyfc) Tweeted: Sami Radlinger starting as he means to go on... #YouReds https://t.co/0Zf83Jf882
the first part of his surname Sahin is his wife's maiden name (possibly the most useless bit of information to appear on this board for a while!)
Luton defender who granted scored a worldie goal (which if he hit another 100 times wouldn't go in). He also was part of a defence that conceded 3. Very harsh on Diaby or Andersen to not be included after keeping arguably the most vicious strike force in the league at bay.
He was statistically the best goalkeeper in the league, according to WhoScored. He wasn’t our best player according to them. Anderson, Sibbick and Thomas ranked higher, and Diaby on par.
Well done to Radlinger. After watching the highlights I realised he made more low down saves than I could remember just after the game. How Mads and (or) Bambo aren’t in this I’ll never know. Kept the striker who is very likely to be the top scorer come May quiet pretty much all game. I suppose it’s better them not getting the credit in a way, keep the attention off them for as long as we can.
There were only three clean sheets kept in the championship over the weekend and curiously of the twelve back four defenders involved in those results only Pedersen at Birmingham City got into the team of the week.
Which is Bizarre because Birmingham should have been hammered - Poor finishing from Brentford not great defending was the reason as well they hit the bar twice missed a penalty and squandered several other great chances.
Correction to my earlier post, Birmingham seemly had a back five so there was thirteen outfield defenders involved in the three clean sheets.
Seems a strange choice to me, after all he didn't really have that much to do. Hardly a "Luke Steele at Liverpool" type of performance.... Edit: not meant as any sort of criticism of a sound performance where he did everything he needed to do.
Thats not saying much. Even I was better than their entire team by some distance. And all I did was shuffle my feet a bit.
