    Well done lad. By all accounts looked very shaky in the friendlies, but looked very assured today.

    He's still quite raw and did get caught out of position at times, but he was always looking to get forward and is very skillful for such a tall defender. I can definitely see why he was on our shopping list. You would never have known that it was only his 28th senior appearance today, and his first at such a high level (apart from v West Ham in the cup)

    Although I’ve been critical of the lad, he was brilliant today.

    Like you said, got caught out a few times positionally but a far better performance today and one which is something to build on.

    Only watched the Sheff U game on my phone but he did make a fair few passing errors from what I saw. Today he was much better and looked very good on the ball like everyone did.
