    Theres not much interest in football over there, they're trying, but it's the equivalent of the MLS 20 years ago. Bale moving to China will create about as much excitement as if Chaz from emmerdale moved to Bolton on dearne.

    I met him in Madrid in 2014 after the Liverpool game that Real won 1 - 0. He's a really nice bloke but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I suspect his agent needs the commission money more than he does. At the mega rich level more money is meaningless. At 30 he is still good enough for the Prem and it would certainly more fulfilling than plying in China.

    Yep. He's won 4 champions leagues and scored an overhead kick in the final. He's a long time retired, so at this stage I'd maximise my earnings
