So a woman who is pregnat causes a fight and comes off worse. In this case getting shot and causing her to loose her unborn child. So it would appear shes been charged over her unborn kids welfare. You know she has a duty of care to ensure this unborn child isnt put at risk. She kicked off over the babydaddy. She came off second best. Her own fault. Perhaps those with those narrow banded everythings racist viewpoints might like to take a step back...
The pint being g if thus had happened Hate that term baby daddy. The racist part is that she would have been unlikely to be charged if she was white.
I gave up trying to understand the USA when American 'logic' was exposed years ago by, of all people, Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear. They were parked and filming outside the terminal of a disused and deserted Municipal airport. There were no other vehicles or people anywhere in sight. A police patrolman then pulled up in his car and told them they must move as, for security reasons, parking outside the terminal was illegal. Clarkson pointed out that , since the airport was abandoned, there was little, if any, security risk, and so suggested a little common sense would be in order, at which point the officer came out with the classic line that, to me, sums up much that is wrong with the US of A..... " Sir, when you have rules you don't need no common sense!"
Ok, in the good ole United States of NRA you can just about shoot anyone in this situation and get off claiming self defence. Would the person who got shot have been arrested were she white? Who knows. The American South is still riddled with racism. It's disgusting. Whether this case is an example of racism or just general American wrong headedness it's impossible to say. So why argue whether it is or it isn't?
Yep. Where's the racism here though? Aside from the FACT this took place in Alabama and the FACT that both parties are black, what evidence is there of racism in this specific incident?
If that's another pop at me, I never said it was a fact it was my opinion. There would be some pretty short threads on here if opinions had to be backed up by facts or evidence. Didn't realise there was a disclaimer to complete stating whether the post was fact or opinion
If anyone is in to podcasts I highly recommend listening to "In the Dark", Season 2. It shows how terrible the American justice system is and how corrupt and racist they can be without any consequences. It is very well put together and really mind blowing. https://www.apmreports.org/in-the-dark/season-two-audio (also available on Spotify etc.)
In that news article do the police not state they see Jones as the aggressor and the other party shot her to defend her self?
Thats what the article said. Jones the babymamma was the aggressor. Fighting over babydaddy. Given that states strong anti abortion stance id suspect shed have been charged whether she was black white yellow or brown. And skint.
Defended herself by shooting her in the stomach though? What was the pregnant woman trying to do, belly bounce her? Of all the places to be shot when she just happens be carrying the other woman’s boyfriend’s baby...
Am I right in thinking your position is that appropriate action when in an argument with a pregnant woman, a reasonable response, is to shoot the pregnant woman in the stomach and if you do it's the fault of the pregnant woman for getting shot? Because it seems very much like you are.
