Was it only a partial tear? I had a torn meniscus 7 years ago, i still have twinges now and then but i was back on full phys sessions within 3 months of the op. I was told id likely suffer arthritis in later life.

I had a partial tear on my right knee, never had surgery to fix it and was issued physiotherapy and then strengthening exercises to get it back up to 100%. Went to play football about 3 month after the tear and as soon as i turned and had to put all weight on that knee, it just buckled and went again. Happened twice more before i packed in football for good.

Now it's just a regular occurrence, was as the bar last weekend and the queue behind started pushing which put me off balance and it twisted again.

    Cracking stuff.

Yes U T, also a complicated tear, ( not a straight tear) prior to the OP I was in agony, the inside of my knee was on fire and I was hobbling around like a bloke 20 years senior to myself. I dont even know what I did to tear the bloody thing, had to sleep with a pillow between my legs. I also still get twinges but like I say its much better but my days of impact training are put away in the archives. The surgeon said afterwards that there was no sign ( at the min) of arthritis.
