David Turnbull: Celtic & Barnsley bids turned down by Motherwell

John Stones was on his way to Wigan when someone called and said Everton were after him.

 

I can remember Nardiello literally doing a u-turn and signing for QPR, when he was on his way to Barnsley to sign a new contract.

 

Allegedly that was down to Gordon Shepherd's treatment of Chris Shuker. When he withdrew the offer whilst Shuker was on holiday.

 

I seem to remember that Shuker had pissed us around the previous season and only signed a new 12 month contract when he had no other options. He clearly thought he could do the same again.

 

That's a real shame. I'd have liked to have seen Shuker play for us in the Championship.

 

Motherwell are reporting they've accepted a bid from Celtic and so that looks like that;

He looks a really good prospect fro a 19 years old but it was never likely we'd be able to outbid Celtic.

 

Cant blame Motherwell for getting the most money they can and Celtic probably appeals more to him.

 

The player wants to move to England, supposedly.

 

Should sign for ONE of the many English clubs in for him then!
