I’m sure some of you will have realised that I have been in Porto with my wife for the football. I am not posting to pontificate the rights and wrongs of the football or the fans just want to give a big shout out to Porto as a place to visit. The city is beautiful both sides of the river have a lot to offer. Numerous bars and restaurants, visited Sandeman port house today and couldn’t believe we sat on the table for our tasting with a father and son from redbrook small world. If anyone is thinking of a city break or a weeks holiday but don’t just want to lay on a beach give this place a try. Me and her indoors have been mightily impressed. If you do come I would be happy to share tips on getting around the city and places to eat, visit or stay. Not Benidorm but if that’s not your thing you could do worse. I know some have already visited and will back this up (Gally) but feel free to ask if you feel it’s somewhere you would like to visit.

Totally agree, Porto is a beautiful city and the beaches are stunning too.
We've been a couple of times and absolutely love it there.
