Non of that really makes any sense or answers the question you originally posted about. Yes you were told. Here’s a leaflet.
As I have said, I'm not bothered one way or another about whether we stay or leave. And I'm not sure what your published leaflet is supposed to prove to me. I'm just a bloke who believes in democracy, irrespective of whether I like the way it turns out. There's always a time to change things in the future.
Does that leaflet not say... Taking back control is a careful change, not a sudden step - we will negotiate the terms of a new deal before we start any process to leave? How's that going exactly? The whole thrust of that leaflet is about a trade 'deal' with the EU, for the very people who are now telling us we don't need one - it'll all be fine.
In 1992 the NUM won a overwhelming vote to strike but 6 members did not receive a ballot paper(by mistake) the government went running to the courts & declared the vote null & void.Don't fkin spout democracy coz it stinks. Democracy is all well & good when it suits, if it doesn't the it goes out the window.
Oh yeh, any democratic vote by any Union reached by a democratic way is frowned upon, how does that work then?
pomp, i'm not trying to pass it off as fact per se, what i'm saying about the ballot paper is fact and what i'm saying about all the warnings for and against was there for all to see and hear so that they could draw their own conclusions. you are saying 'millions' were assured about a quick deal, how do you know this? have you asked them? you yourself are passing this off as fact. what is fact on my part is that i do not know personally any leave voter who has changed their minds on the way they voted and i've yet to see anyone come forward on tv and say so
There were plenty of facts but if they didn’t confirm your own bias they were rubbished as lies. I know many millions were assured of a quick deal because everyone received the leaflet above!! That is plainly simple I don’t need to ask them and I’d therefore plainly a fact. Correct me if I’m wrong but I know you knew exactly what you were voting for, but you also refuse to acknowledge others can also know based on your post to be last week. can you not see that many millions didn’t know however? Many relied on leaflets such as the one above to inform a decision.
Nigel Farage though is a one issue camp Normal practice is a two thirds majority...where have you got that from? No referendum this country has ever held required a two thirds majority...no country in the EU has ever voted to join, or ratify any treaty requiring a two thirds majority...I'd have been interested to hear you arguing that one in the Scottish Indyref.
