Answer to three different people, six essential things, five desirable things, nine main tasks, twenty two specific tasks, and another dozen person specifics. 57 different points to the job advert. If you have what they are looking for you might as well go self employed. A local physio this way charges at his own business 90 quid for half an hour.
Not really. Straight out of graduation its band 5 in the NHS. With at least half the responsibilities.
It's a niche job though. I bet there is an over supply of physiotherapists wanting to get into the sports side of ir compared to the NHS
Okay.... Band 5 is pretty much the same as the salary we're discussing and anyone entering a healthcare profession would have had significant time on placement as I said. Not sure how that fact disputes my point.
How many graduates will have level 5 Fa advanced trauma certification... Worked within an elite sporting environment Worked within an academy environment Knowledge of EPPP Membership of both governing bodies People management. Nevermind the admin work involved as well. Not many I suspect. Its less money than the NHS equivelent but twice the hassle. Dont get me wrong I can see it being a door opener but for that money qualifications job requirements etc I cant see anyone whos any good stopping very long before moving to bigger and better things...
People want to work in football. I'm only familiar with data analysis, but when I was looking at it jobs in football used to pay half what they would in any other field, if that.
The part about having worked in elite sport is a given now for anyone and a lot of graduates will have that having worked in elite sport for free during their placements. Also, a lot you list are desirables. I get what you're saying though but as others have said, many will be willing to go for it given it's many people's dream to work in professional football and it could be the first step on a lucrative career. I don't agree that it's beyond a graduate but the sad thing this demonstrates and the point I was originally trying to make is that it's sad so many lines of work that are highly skilled see a race to the bottom like this with a low wage such is the competition and volume of people who are well qualified.
I could get an office job doing much less work, far less hours and earn much more coin. But you can’t put a price on being happy in your job, doing something you love doing etc. For now anyway.
What do you mean by 'For now anyway'??? Are you in the nets next season? Now that's what I call career progression. Good work.
