Love this series but yesterday (or tonight in the UK) was just awesome, just goes to the next level in surprise!
    What do you guys think?

To me it's been the best series on TV for many years, and a lot of it has been filmed in the UK, in fact I'm sure I saw hillsborough on there as there was a crumbling castle!

I've never watched it. What's it about?
Nor have I ever seen a Star Wars film.

Not been enjoying these final episodes. The fight scenes are awesome but the plot has left me a little detached.

Trash. I read the leaks and was quite disappointed they were accurate. Going to be a lot of disappointed people next week.

Why read the leaks? It spoils it...and don't tell me what happens in next episode please.

Made no sense to be honest.

Arya's story was great, but the rest felt flat to me.

Have a feeling next episode will be disappointing, but I'll watch anyway. This season has been below standard by a long way though, in my opinion, and I think the first 7 seasons (apart from the couple of episodes in season 5 with the 'bad pussy' line) were the best thing that's ever been on TV, by a LONG way. To be fair, this season is still better than 99% of shows, but not as good as the previous seasons.

Never seen it but I'm hearing so much about it I'm beginning to wonder if I should give it a go. It just doesn't sound like something that will hold my interest.

I don't find it spoils it, a good story is a good story. I do find it gives less leeway to bad writing though, when you can't rely upon shock value to replace genuine intrigue.

This last season has been rushed and some plotlines done a disservice, but on the whole it's far and away the best TV show ever created. And I think I say that objectively rather than subjectively. People who haven't watched it seem to just see it as a Lord of the Rings type thing, but it's not just for fantasy fans. It's got everything.

It was utter crap. This season has been terrible. Characters are just machinery to move the plot on. Nobody has any sensible motivations, arcs or development at all. They've been gradually making a mess of it since they got ahead of the books but this series has been far worse than I expected. I read that GRRM told them the major story beats for the ending so I expect it will be consistent with the books, but they just haven't put the groundwork in or laid any seeds for the developments to have any impact other than being baffling. It's as if they were told the ending and decided to get there as quickly as they possibly could, regardless of whether it makes any sense.

What are Jon's motivations at this point, or Tyrion's? When was the last time characters had any interaction that served their development rather than just moving the creaking machinery of the plot onwards?

Watch this scene and compare it to this season, it's like it's a different programme

Tits and fighting. It’s like wellington street in your living room. What more is there to want?

Lord of the Rings is exactly what I imagined it to be like.

Give it a try, honestly. It's nothing like you think. First couple of episodes of season 1 burn slowly but it's worth it.
