Did you sing a song offering him the opportunity to spend some time with your wife and tell him that you wanted ginger hair too. That might have helped.
Meanwhile in a house somewhere in tarn some random bloke is eating his tea telling his family how he had to get out of the shop sharpish cos some bloke was following him round calling him Bobby for some weird reason
Never had any problem with Bobby. When he still played, I remember he had a bad injury that sidelined him for a lengthy period. We were in M&S in Town and as we came out and reached the corner near Santander ready to walk down to Argos, Sir Robert of Oakwell limped past. He stopped to have a chat with some lads who we're obviously Reds supporters and I wished him all the best, for a speedy recovery. Couple of weeks later, after the final whistle went at the end of the game, we were walking towards the Club Shop and Bobby was walking towards the East Stand area. Again, he stopped and chatted to a few fans who enquired as to how long he was going to be out. A great bloke who probably gave us the best years of his career. He's a shining example to any young lad who wants to play football professionally, that you can have a good career whilst remaining at one of the less " glamourous" Clubs in the Country and as a result , command the respect of its fan base both for your consistency and more importantly unswerving loyalty.
Cheers, I'd not thought of that one Marlon. Only passed it in a mini bus. Looked to be a bit neglected to me.
Yes - and his unwarranted hatred of Bobby Hassell. Sounded like the start of one of his rants - as someone else eluded to.
