about the next result or the possible permutations of scores and results from other teams.
One week later and I still walk around feeling that warm glow of total smugness !!

Just said the same thing, would love us to finish as champions but relaxed what ever the outcome, it’s ages since I’ve felt like that at the end of a season

Smugness is a great way to put it!

Be interesting to see how well we pjay Saturday. Did the Luton squad stay sober Tuesday night?

I've just deleted "Possible Wembley Trip" from my diary for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. I had a really satisfying smug feeling while I was doing it.

Agreed. Everyone wants their team to be promoted at the end of the season, but it puts years you!

It's great that there's still something to play for though (top spot).
It just felt a bit flat, on Tuesday, gaining promotion whilst sat at home watching how others' games unfolded.
Not being greedy, but would be great to celebrate something, tomorrow, with a few thousand fellows fans.

Feel the same, going through the last 5 or so weeks worrying about not just our team but others as well feels fantastic going into the last weekend knowing we are up and also having a little childish snigger because I know what the other 5 teams supporters will be feeling now, yes it's a great feeling

    HUGE relief actually.
For example - I’m going to the beam back.
I don’t think I could have gone if we had to win to get promotion.
    Too stressful.

I wasn't feeling flat at all watching the stream. The Portsmouth v Peterborough was end to end. Edge of your seat stuff. Peterborough really put in a shift. I was biting my nails near the end. The jubilation at the final whistle was fantastic. The offside goal and then the winner , going absolutely ballistic celebrations. I just wish I hadn't been at work the next day. It was a good hangover though :D

I know what you mean, being greedy it would have been great if we could have done it at home so we could all enjoy the moment. But relief it's all over is the overriding feeling I think. Saturday was so stressful worrying about our game going 1 down then only having the one goal lead. Not to mention checking my phone every 2 minutes even though I had put goal alerts on for the Sunderland game.

You can keep watching the highlights of the matches through the season on youtube knowing it was all for something now. That draw at home to Coventry was a point towards promotion even though it didn't feel like it at the time. It's the little things for me.

Yes, felt a bit surreal. I knew there was a chance we could be up on Tuesday night but I never imagined that both of the others would lose. I still expected to have to play out the last game just for the maths to be sorted.

Really looking to tomorrow and going for top spot though. Hopefully there will be one last twist in our favour.

I'm loving it. Historically, these occasions rarely crop up for Barnsley fans, so I'm just going to keep on enjoying the feeling. If others can't, or won't, that's their problem, not mine. I'm extremely grateful to Daniel Stendel, his coaching staff and all the players for making this such a wonderful, record-breaking season.

I get to sleep in too. It's usually a 6:30 start every Saturday for iFollow.

I get your point, and I celebrated in a similar manner with my son and daughter.
By 'flat' what I meant was watching our promotion get sealed, whilst sat in my front room, staring at my iPad.
Every other promotion, in my lifetime, I have been there in person, celebrating with friends, family, hugging complete strangers, sharing the joy of the players, sing 'The Reds Are Going Up', smashing pint pots for fun outside Maceys, drinking into the early hours in full on party mode...

Meanwhile, I had a cup of tea, celebrated mildly and my team didn't even kick a ball.

Elated at promotion, but the celebration was, well...flat.

Should've put my sunglasses on and gone and got w@ankered with Stendel & Co.

If I'm honest it's not sunk in properly.
I know we're promoted and it's great but getting promoted and not playing.
If we'd played, drawn or won and got promoted and the euphoria as a result of the game yes it probably sunk in.
