I seem to remember some folk grumbling on here that they haven't been able to get i-player to work through a mobile device. I'll be at a friend's place this afternoon, so will be watching on my phone. Us there anything I need to do? Are match purchases device specific, or can I buy the match on my laptop and then watch it on my phone, theoretically?

    TIA

I’ve watched it on my phone before, only problem I had is trying to stream it through the phone to the tv, it only transfers sound through the cable.

Is there an app mate, or you just did it through the desktop site?

You should be ok as long as you’re only viewing on one device at a time Also you will need the BFC app to view on your phone For some darn reason you cannot view on phone or iPad via a browser

Nice one. We're going to try and get it on my mate's TV, but if not I've got the fallback of my phone. The screen is reasonably big so I should be fine.

That's what I usually do, but will be out and about this afternoon. Supposed to be off round my mate's place for 2, but the missus and little one are off out to the Hermitage for some culture this afternoon, so I'm already trying to persuade another mate to find a bar and start drinking now as I'm so nervous. I'm playing in a chess tournament this evening as well. I can see that's going to go well........
