Funny how things turn out

If Potts had stayed would he have scored and assisted as many as Brown has?
Would Brown have developed as much if Potts was still here?
Would we be top now if Potts wasn't sold?
Has Dougals injuries assisted our season allowing McGeehan to come to the forefront?
Who would you prefer to start Dougal or McGeehan?
Would Hammill have improved or hindered this squads progress?
Would Woodrow be a red if Bradshaw had stayed?
The clamour pre season to drop Davies and bring in Eastwood !
Would the season have been as exciting with Bradshaw upfront?
Would a fit Isgrove been a first team regular starter and improved what weve had this year?

Thoughts on above or anymore what would haves

 

All ifs and buts, init... I can't live my life thinking like that.

 

Hard to say I guess, but I don't think we could have done any better in reality whether anyone stayed, had we signed another striker and so on. So many factors involved on each and every match day. Since Boxing Day I don't think any team has picked up as many points as us. Some could argue we may have had more with a "better" January, yet we've done better than those who "strengthened". It's just been a wonderful season to date.

 

Was thinking earlier we haven’t missed Potts , I never rated him BTW

Not checked but sure they were beneath us last time we played them

 

It shows how much changes in just one season and how decisions made cause outrage then turns out that it wasnt that bad in the end. Funny old game.

 

Based on results from Boxing Day to right now, we're top of the division, on 49 points, five ahead of Luton in 2nd, 14 wins, 7 draws and a defeat with a +26 GD.

 

Going by this on the transfermarkt.co.uk page. We'd played 23 games, I think including Boxing Day. Saw a similar link on Twitter a couple of days ago. I was surprised tbh.

 

Fair enough, I thought we would be up there but genuinely thought Luton would have been above.

Yeah, I thought the same until I saw the Twitter thing. And I'm sure there'd be variation again if we narrowed the dates down again. 2 more results, fingers crossed.

 

Having read Keefers feelings on actually being on the pitch for promotion hopefully it must be weird for Potts who helped us get off to a brilliant start to be no part of it at the end.

Jacob Brown is a gem and he definitely would not have had his chance if Potts had stayed.

 

Would we still have had WW2 if Hitler had been killed in WW1? Hmmmmmm.......

 

Aye but don't forget we had a really bad transfer window in January....
