Leeds fans at work have been insufferable last few weeks, I don't know any blunts but I wish them well assuming they do go up. We call Look North Look Leeds in our house such is the Leeds Utd bias, you’d think there wasn't another football league club in the whole of Yorkshire the way they give disproportional air time to them.
Is this the right time to finally feel some sympathy for Wednesday fans having this stuffed down their throats for the next 12 months? No, thought not!
Mentally weak club Leeds, always choke even with one of the greatest managers in the game there. Sheff Utd have done it the right way, Wilder’s done a great job & is manager of the year in English football by some distance. They’re a completely different club to the one I couldn’t stand about 10 years ago. Massive achievement getting up & good luck to them
Quite amazing they've done it really, their squad is fairly ageing and not one you'd look at and think were a shoe-in for promotion. All credit to Chris Wilder for making it happen.
He's just a football manager who sees his role as trying to win football matches for the football club. To do that, he realises that his footballers have to be able to keep the football out at one end of the football pitch, whilst scoring with the football at the other end of the football pitch.
Have I entered some kind of weird alternate dimension where Barnsley fans are actually pleased to see Sheffield United being promoted to the Premier League.
Didn't mean his football was dull, actually they're decent to watch at their best. It's his voice and droning interviews that do for me!
Good luck to the Blades. I don’t mind them going up and if that’s at the expense of dirty Leeds all the better. 14 years working with deluded Leeds fans, every single one I have met makes you hate them even more. So patronising to Barnsley it’s beyond belief.
Wilder is one of the soundest managers I've met in three years. Hates losing, loves winning, doesn't hide either emotion. And, pretty good at his job. He's getting a tune out of Martin Cranie, Billy Sharp, David McGoldrick, Paul Coutts, Gary Madine, Chris Basham et al. It's some feat. And they're great to watch. They'll come straight back down, but pipping Leeds is fantastic. 15 years out of the top flight. Lovely.
Think it's just amusing to see how they've managed to quietly do it on their own terms, compared to that rancid club Wednesday who've just chucked millions at it and failed massively (pardon the pun). Plus denying it from Leeds. Apart from (personally) a mild rivalry, I'm just glad they did it the right way instead of booting their way there, compared to the Yoonited of old
Not in my case. I'm absolutely devastated. I hope they get 38 humpings with a sandpaper condom next season.
I'd like to see all three implode in spectacular fashion. I can't see the blunts screwing it up now so I'll have to begrudgingly accept that they're going up and reduce the little airtime I give radio Sheffield to none. It's actually been unbearable for a few weeks now, knowing that in all likelihood either Leeds or the blunts were going up. A nightmare made worse by seeing Wednesday flying up the league with an outside chance of the playoffs - mercifully that outcome is unlikely.
I’m the other way. No fan of the blunts (or any Yorkshire team) but every fibre of my body detests L**ds and the outrageous bias towards them at National, regional and local level. Truly hope Villa (or anyone else) does for them in the play offs.
Hate, detest - all strong words. I can’t bring myself to be that negative anymore - I like to see the Yorkshire clubs do well on the whole and wish sheffield United all the best - Wilder has done an outstanding job. Still pretty funny to laugh at Leeds, mind. Their supporters are desperate to go up this season as they’re are fairly sure that Bielsa will leave if they don’t - he’s done an incredible job too really.
Hate and detest are indeed strong words and maybe are slightly over the top. I never used to have any particular dislike of the blunts but the Hume incident and their handling of it changed that. I recognise that Wilder has done a great job and they no longer play the way they did when they had Blackwell as Manager but I still can’t forget and still don’t want them to do well Leeds I just have disliked for years due to their fans There are only a few clubs I really dislike. Leeds and the blunts are 2 of them. Along with Millwall Cardiff and Birmingham
"Happy" is definitely stretching it a bit for me. But the Leeds implosion has been a thing of joy. Pretty sure they'll bottle the playoffs as well.
