If you look at my map https://www.wildyorkshireway.co.uk/mapdisplay.php?E=432403&N=403720 and scroll around, you will see that my overnight stopping points are red. After reading your post, I'm going to change them to green, and change my current location blob to red. Will be visible from 9am Monday. Great feedback, thank you!
It will be there in place for all remaining games. It might get in a bit of a flap though if it's windy.
Update: My fundraising page has only been up for 24 hours and already the total is £140, and I've not even set off yet. That's a magnificent response, thank you to any BBS posters who have contributed!
When are you doing the Haworth/Hebden Bridge bit, mate? I might join you if you fancy some company. I can bring cake. And a flask.
I'm planning on staying at the Packhorse Inn on Widdop Moor on or about 16th May, then walking to the White House Inn on Blackstone Edge on 17th. The route follows the Pennine Way here, dropping down to the Calder Valley and climbing up to Stoodley Pike. Don't rely on the dates though, depending on my fitness and the weather there's a good chance things will slip. It would be good to have some company though if you (or anyone else) can make it. You can see the route here https://www.wildyorkshireway.co.uk/mapdisplay.php?E=395150&N=431658
Update: Donations are now well over £200, thank you to all on here who have donated. I've mentioned you all on my website www wildyorkshireway.co.uk but as some donations are anonymous I could have missed some people. Thanks again, 2 more sleeps and I'll be on the way.
For those interested, you can see where I am on this page https://www.wildyorkshireway.co.uk/mapdisplay.php, which will update live as I plod on. Thanks for your donations so far!
Update, I'll be in the George Inn, Selby, tomorrow evening, about 50 miles in. Any Reds about, pop in for a pint
One blister so far, otherwise (touch wood) everything ok. Great to read motivational comments on here, please keep it up if the weather changes. Hot sun for next few days, guess what colour my face is?
