Just been looking at the marra's fixtures, Coventry, Peterborough, Pompey, Donny yet to play, we are still very very much in it. COYR
Looks like the Black Cats will be without two keys players for their game at home to Coventry City on Saturday. Chris Maguire had his leg broken against Gillingham in February and they want to give him some further time to fully recover. Their biggest blow is that following him damaging his foot against Accrington Stanley ,Jack Ross is unlikely to play Aiden McGeady until he's fully recovered and pain free. Ross has said he's prepared to give him as much time as he needs to prove he's ready to play again. It is feasible of course, that given the severity of his injury, he might not be risked and could well have to sit the Clubs remaining fixtures out, which to them, is a real blow.
That’s as big a blow to them as keiffer injury was for us imo. Hope the lads ok but I can’t help thinking that’s a major part of their attacking force ruled out . I’ve a feeling Portsmouth and Charlton will be licking their lips at both our news .
I'm beyond thinking about injuries now. Best case scenario I can imagine is us win they draw but all that does is prolong the agony!
To be fair, reading the comments from Ross I can't see him being out for more than one or two games. But still a significant loss for those games i suppose.
