The way that I see it is that we were due a bad run at some point. Sunderland had theres when they where drawing game after game. The positive to take is that this game must cause a reaction. A huge wake up call so to speak. I'd prefer the bad run now and for us to pick up form in the final five (which I think we will) than it to hit us with just a few games to play. We're good enough to get out of this division and I'm still confident that we will. If its through the playoffs then so be it.
I think most fans have hoped week to week recently that performances would improve but week after week we have looked toothless upfront, that isn’t going to change we haven’t got any other options upfront.
I'm not doubting that we looks poor today but I also thought that we looked very good v Cov from an offensive prospective. On that day our finishing let us down but the same couldn't be said v Southend. I just think that we came up against a very strong and well organised side who had 0 pressure on them today and that showed.
