Could get some real momentum off the back of that result and they could be challenging us for second place as we head into the final couple of games. Win their game in and they close to within 2 points although have an ineferior goal difference.
How will Sunderland fare now? Another Wembley defeat, fixture pile up to come, psychologically they could be shot. That fear that if they don't get second they have to go through the play offs and potentially another Wembley appearance. Fans slating the players, Jack Ross supposedly not good enough!

Yes in all fairness Portsmouth are definitely NOT out of this, we all seem to be thinking that Sunderland are our only challengers dont we!.
However, this result could kick Sunderland in the bollx, and it might galvanise them in the remaining league games. We've simply got to start winning games rather than drawing, or they will all catch up with us!.

Of course they are still in it, I just feel if they pass us we will already be behind Sunderland.

It certainly will be tough for them as we found out but then so is Burton Albion for us. I think next Saturday is must win for us tbh. I just hope Cloughie is a bit more adventurous as they are at home.

Portsmouth looked a better team to me. Sunderland look boring as **** to watch. Guessing that’s how the usually beat teams by boring them to death. Thank **** Jack Ross didn’t a job with us last year.

He’s got a losers mentality he sent on a midfielder for an attacker when they where 1-0 up trying to hold on to a 1-0 lead. Always a dangerous tactic. Probably explains why they have drawn so many games.

Sunderland also struggled at Wycombe away your right I think We must beat Burton then we have 2 very winnable home games.

Only way Charlton pass us if we collapse and we would already be behind Sunderland and probably Pompey if that were the case.

Suppose so but that's sort of irrelevant at this stage. Lots of twists to come I suspect, my only real prediction is it wont be decided until final day.
Or maybe when Sunderland play after our last home game.

Wonder what the odds are for both Barnsley and Sunderland to miss out on promotion Luton Portsmouth and Donny going up ... Dread to think that could be the case .. Shudder to think

Yeah, I think Portsmouth are the ones to keep an eye on. Probably a better team than Sunderland and also have momentum on their side.

I think Charlton are too far off - unless we capitulate.

We need to get the points on the board in the next few games and try and put it to bed. Can’t let it go down to last 2 games.

    Good measuring stick that game.

Pompey just didn't turn up until half time. Their fans must have been worried that the day was going to pass them by.

Sunderland are very dependant on McGeady with Grigg not looking like the big money striker they signed to push them on.

There was nothing there to suggest that either is better than us for the run in, or will go on a winning run. It's league one, and we all have frailties.

To reiterate what I said earlier. Only McGeady would get in our midfield on today's showing.

    All to play for.

We just need to worry about burton on setday. Is clough gonna park the bus again. A draw will kill us. I hope today has really hurt sunderland and fans but you never kno how a team will react. I remember when we lost to cardiff then went and won at watford a few days later. Long way still to go.....

Christ I hope it doesn’t go to the last game. We’d need to go to Brizzle and win. Sunderland are away at Southend. That’s like playing Athersley Rec with Rec down to 8 men.

I still think he’s performing miracles with what he’s been left with, but we’ve seen all his hands. If we are to make it ( and for me that has to be top two or we’re knackered) then it’s the squad we saw on Saturday that will get us there baring any amazing news we get from Moore’s specialist this week.
