Chasing the win then. Many apologies. Doesn’t change the fact they were after a goal and they didn’t fetch him on mind.
Yeah - they didn't bring him on and they didn't score. Hardly an opportunity to knock ol'Juddy is it?`
It’s a knock on Moncur because the manager looked at his bench and didn’t think Moncur was the player to change the game for them. If that’s not a knock on Moncur who’ll class himself as an attack minded player then I’m not sure what is.
Well the original premise, which you seem to agree with, is that Moncur has been "found out". May I suggest that instead it has been "found out" that if Luton keep Moncur on the bench, then they don't score.
That’s where you’d be wrong. Also Moncur wasn’t subbed on in their last game as well and they won 2-0 with the second goal coming late on so unfortunately they do score goals even when they keep Moncur on the bench. but I do thank you for this scintillating discussion none the less.
They also only used 2 of their subs so there was plenty of room for George to come on. If I’m not mistaken, his game time has slowly dwindled these last few games. I would say that’s “found out”.
Too right. I liked George and have a soft spot for luxury\flair players but do think he’s flawed. If he’s not getting brought on at 0-0 with 10 mins to go in a game that could have increased their lead at the top of the league then it does tend to suggest that Luton thought he was something more than he has proved to be.
I agree. I’d have liked him to have sign a contract as he offers something we don’t really have anymore. However, given the fact that he was here 2 and a half years and never really stamped his place in the side, I can see why he was moved on and why some people weren’t keen on him. I suppose his early form when he’d just signed for them was to kinda of prove a point to Luton and to us. Now he’s gone back to his usual self it would seem.
