Clean sheets are King as our mate Keef would say. Another solid performance by Davies who keeps racking up the clean sheets.
Davies has now kept 15 clean sheets in the league this season..... and yet there a good many on here who do not rate him. He has not played in every game either.
no need to labour that point I was in the wrong that night but I am sure we got him on a free too so I am pleased with that. heres his stats https://footystats.org/players/wales/adam-davies
Best defensive record in the entire Division. Only Luton have scored more goals. Averaging two points a game. Reaching 70 points by the beginning of March.
He's a good shot stopper, an important save is as good as a goal imo, and he's pulled off some blinders while he's been here. The only flaw in his game is his kicking but the way we play out from the back, his throwing sets up some good counter attacks, so I think we can give him some leeway on his kicking. Keep up the good work Adam.
Great goalkeeper and imo will be wales number one , hope he stays but can’t see it myself otherwise he would have signed a new contract . Maybe and hopefully he’s waiting to see which league were in before he puts pen to paper . Imo he’s improved season on season . He’s young for a goalkeeper and loads of room for experience I hope he’s here a long time
This thread reads as though a clean sheet is down to the goalie. Full stop. It is not. Credit lies in various areas, mostly before it gets anywhere near Davies.
watched the game on sky, remember thinking we could be playing till next tuesday and southend wouldnt have scored. A mid ranking league 1 side at home and it must be frustrating for them as they started to realise it. Think they gave it their best shot (including one or two niggling/nasty challenges early on (the one on cavare after the ball had gone out by McGloughlin in particular)
Agreed but his overall game is improving from when he first starred in the nets . He’s very young for a goalie and his improvement is noticeable . His clean sheets are a mixture of his improvement, the defenders as a whole and being in league one .
Dead right Marlon. If it wasnt for Brexit we'd be matched on a dating agency Heee Heee. The defence must have confidence in him to play it around him like they do
Not knocking Davies at all cos hes had a good season but the clean sheets are coming from pinnock and lindsey just as much. Pinnock was immense today got so many important blocks and tackles in. Helped having kenny as the shield infront of back 4 too.
Davies' deficiencies lie in command of area at crosses, and decision making when sweeping. Not seen a change.
