Totally agree with them, does my head in when people give it all the "Boyhood club" rubbish like Brendon did every other week then leave at the first opportunity when on the verge of winning 10 league titles in a row.

I just wish they'd be honest and just admit its a business and were all in it for the money, which clearly they are.

Big difference between him and Hecky is that he was winning football matches when he jumped ship.

The whole thing makes a mockery of the Scottish league. Celtic win everything every season and attract massive support, yet the draw of a mediocre premier league club is all it takes for him to be off.

Admittedly, Leicester won the Premier league title, but it was in total isolation, and they're not likely to be even close anytime soon.

To be fair though, the premier league is getting just like the Scottish prem. Only a few teams capable of winning it, some that are pretty much already relegated and a lot in between that range from success being to win as many as they lose to just keeping out of the bottom 3.

 

Does my head in how a few mindless idiots singing in a boozer can represent a whole fan base, I mean If the media tried hard enough they could make every football club look like scumbags, including our own.

I've been to numerous Celtic games and each and every time I have met nothing but decent folk just going to watch the footie like the vast majority of us.

 

Rangers minority, Millwall minority, Leeds minority, Celtic minority: no different for any club with a consistantly troublesome minority though, they all get bad press.

 

I agree with what you are saying totally, and I do think its wrong on the media part to document a small number of 'fans' probably out their tree singing stuff like this. However in the Millwall cases where they're stabbing people its totally different I believe that stuff does need highlighting.

For example I still hear chants at Barnsley games about the Yorkshire ripper, if the media wanted to they could get hold of that and portray us all as numpties.

 

Can remember we all got labelled for the alleged Billy Blunt chants which were totally baseless and wrong but it went on other forums we were scum till the truth came out

 

Just watched the Scottish news on BBC and saying police Scotland are investigating sectarian singing and coin throwing coming from the celtic end.
Both actions unacceptable and anti social.
Unfortunately I do not think anything will be done about it allowing those responsible to do it again.

 

Loads of Celtic fans singing about Lee Rigby at the pre season Sunderland game last year, vile. we probably all know clubs who have an element of retarded fans but this was sickening and went over the line of normal football banter.i have many army mates who probably bleed green but these are the normal fans who are disgusted by quite a contingent of neandathols

 

100% agree and everyone caught singing sickening things like that should receive the maximum punishment possible, however wasn't it around 15k that turned up that day and 5 or 6 idiots gave the lot a reputation.

I would never defend the idiots that do this stuff, I've no idea what goes through their heads but a full football club and their supporters get a bad reputation off it which I don't understand.

look at this thread, started about a banner at the game which I and probably everyone would agree with, but the main topic of conversation is a couple of pissed up idiots singing sickening songs in a pub who lets be fair probably weren't even at the game.
