He wasn't poor which makes a nice change at Oakwell however he got their penalty wrong (even from the Ponty end it looked like a bad decision). Overall though he was better than the standard we usually get.

Their penalty was my fault. Had just said to my Dad that this ref was better than most we’ve had this season but then he gives them a bizarre penalty. From my view in the West upper never a pen at the time. And having seen it again I’m even more convinced he got it wrong. McCarthy booking harsh but he did dive in studs first even though he got the ball. Minor decisions wrong both ways I thought he favoured them but no doubt their fans will say the opposite. I’d be happy to have him again

    Ask Wycombe fans about him.

A partisan fan judges a referee to have had a good game when every nudge, every bit of holding, climbing and shirt pulling, every block and trip and "shoulder" charge by their own players is ignored. The referee is letting the game flow. And every similar action by the opposition players is penalised.

This happened yesterday. We've benefitted from it numerous times this season. It's about time like, we're usually on the wrong end of that. We're usually on the wrong end because we tend to punch above our weight. We play bigger clubs than ourselves in the Championship. Bigger clubs tend to get more decisions in their favour. In this division we're a bigger club.

My (maybe) biased opinion is that our pen was debatable, their pen wasn't, and I'd be fuming if one of our players got sent off for that. Absolutely fuming. It's not like it was a head butt.

It was a red card offence. No excuses straight red.

Even if the ref had shown some stupid disregard for the rules and only shown him a yellow he would have got a second yellow for the way he spent two minutes refusing to go over to the ref despite being asked to 153634 times

Got the wife to tape the 2000 play off final with Ipswich, when I got home it when straight in the bin. Still can't be arsed watching highlights of us losing, would rather take my ball in lol.

Decent compared to other refs we've had, I still blame him for losing my bet tho, had 2.0!!
