a great hit to score from him,but watch his reaction to it, running straight to dug out and pointing to pitch ,seems he feels he should be a starter every game, this selfish attitude must rock the boat ,hopefully the sooner the better https://www.skysports.com/football/fleetwood-vs-luton/393484
Hope so , but then I just hope we win league on our own merit . Way we going it’s hard to see a team beat us we are head and shoulders above any team near us
Moncur started. He scored. Again. We were fuckwits to let him go an score for a team above us in the league. Is this arguable?
Fvcking hell, the sprint he did during his celebration was the fastest I’ve ever seen him move. And I liked him when he was here.
What a weird celebration. Definitely saw it the same as you described, be interesting to know Harfords take Also, how bad was the keeping for their 2nd? I know it moved a bit but it wasn't that good a strike
They’ve lost their manager and are ploughing on regardless - can’t see him derailing, what, to be fair has been an unbelievable season for them. Top two nailed on for me.
Luton can take the top spot - not bothered. More often than not, the teams finishing 2nd and winning PO final go on to do better the next season. The Champions never seem to do as well.
We shouldn't have sold him to a promotion rival but he's gone and hopefully Luton will soon see why we did.
Yeah, they must hate him scoring goals and helping them win games. Played 6 games for Luton and they've won them all. 6 wins on the bounce. Their best run of the season. The detrimental effect he's having is immeasurable. It was stupid of us to sell him to a promotion rival. I find it astonishing that anyone would even attempt to try to argue against that.
Earlier today, on here, someone seriously tried to argue that his contribution so far has been limited to 2 points gained as the only contribution that counts is scoring- and I’m not joking- the winning goal provided that there are no further goals scored and goals previous to the final goal do not count as a contribution towards the win. By that measure, most of our squads contributed absolutely nothing all season.
Come on lads and lasses we’ve had this discussion before. Some of us (me included) think it was idiotic to sell him to a promotion rival, others don’t. We’ll only know at the end of the season how bright that judgement was, so let’s not discuss it all over again. Please.
I thought he would have a negligible effect on Luton's chances of promotion, and that was worth the cash income rather than letting him leave for free in the summer. It looks like I was wrong and he's having far more of an impact than I expected, although even without him it looks like it would be Luton + 1 to go up, so any points he helps them take off our rivals may do us more good than if he'd stayed here. Not that we'd have known that at the time like.
If we go up in second place with cash in our pocket from his sale i really dont care. He would barely have featured here and what he does at Luton is nothing like as important as what players at Portsmouth ando Sunderland are doing.
You aren’t bothered about winning silverware?! Surely that’s the whole point of the game. I’d love to see us win a league for the first time in my life
Would be great to win the league but 2md is just fine too. If we go up with Luton I'd rather finish above them next season.
