She was 15 when she left the UK. In the criminal context that we normally apply the term grooming, 15 is an age where kids cannot give their consent.
No she really hadn’t RR , she really really hasn’t She has vile views and get her publicity because of these vile views . I know I don’t have to give you a documentary on this woman as you already know her vile views and what she’s capable of stirring up. We have laws in this country they are their for s reason because of injustices in the past they are hard fought for and lessons learned (hopefully) She should have a trial in this country to see how she came to be there who helped her and ate they still here etc etc . Leaving her there learns us nothing and leaves us vulnerable to the next 15 year olds being groomed ( if that’s what’s happened ) by the same people . Katie Hopkins as usual is wrong and vile with her views .
Difficult subject matter and I don't have any answers... The argument that we should be forever bound by the choices we make as a child is a very poor one. From what I've read I would think she's spent the last few years being used as a body for sex. F+cked by multiple men every day. I don't know this, it's just what often happens to the young women who have joined these organisations so it's a reasonable assumption. Is it illegal to travel to an area where ISIS are prevalent and say you have the same ideology? This is a genuine question, I don't know the answer. I guess I'm asking is being with these people illegal in itself? Or if she was put on trial would it be about her actions while she was there?
Im not sure. It is illegal to be a member of a proscribed terrorist organisation. They would have to ascertain what involvement she had and whether or not she was groomed into it all first I would have thought.
Is that meant to be some kind of insult? He ran away from justice and she left the UK to join an organization fighting against the UK. Quite surprised you see any double standard there to be honest.
I’m on the same boat tbh . I don’t know what her treatment or ideology has for whether she has committed a crime or shielding people who have . But we have a system in place to determine what, where , why and how etc . I’m uncomfortable with the idea she’s done this or that and leave her to rot as she may commit crimes if she comes back . She may have the key to unlock a grooming cell in our country that’s active or even other things we don’t know . She may know nothing and just been a stubborn stupid arrogant fifteen year old . We won’t know nothing until or if we have some sort of inquiry imo
There are probably a lot more deserving cases not let into the UK. If she can prove she is stateless, then international law means we must take her, if she can get to the UK.
One is a fugitive from justice, the other one moved to another country in order to provide support to the enemy.
Which some are saying is a crime so she’s a fugitive from justice . You can keep trying to make a special case all day . The law says she should go on trial even the law disagrees with you . The difference is Sajid Djavid is saying he won’t help her to get back . But I reckon when the lawyers have looked into it even this will be unlawful .
but it would not just be the NHS would it. She would most likely get housing, child allowance, along with a string of other benefits too..... and yet we have ex-service personnel homeless and on the streets.
15-16 years old , not much difference and you appear to be impying they are too immature to carry out rational free will and yet Corbyn wants 16 year olds to have the vote. Sheesh!!!
I spent some time on here a long time ago warning that this would happen if we invaded Iraq. All this stems from that. So yes, I feel sorry for all child soldiers who are/were forced to fight or were indoctrinated to do so. Quite how you'd go about removing them from that situation is another matter. Kids should be playing, having fun and learning, not being handed Kalashnikov's and forced to kill and hack peoples heads off.
