Exactly, we have a legal and justice system the world looks up to. All the jungle justice mob need to be careful what they wish for, “go live in Saudi Arabia or China if you want summary executions” - an ironic twist on the same language thrown at Islamic extremist....probably blow some minds.
Ignore Toby. He's just upset because he begged me to go out for a drink with him but I wasn't interested. It's quite laughable he has me on ignore though. I think it’s a really scary time in this Country, and in others, that people are willing to throw away hundreds of years of British progress in a justice system based on the rights of its citizens to a fair trial. Maybe it’s just good plain racism? Plenty of people wanted justice for good old Tommy Robinson who admitted to being in contempt of court and also filming inside of a court, and yet you can bet to a -sh@t tattooed - man they’re not interested in justice in this case.
Maybe a lot of people do want justice but can equally make up their own mind on an open and shut case?
What that excuse for a woman Katie whatever .has said about people i our community . The homeless . People hit by Austerity . Invalids etc etc and they try and hold her up on here as a beacon of common sense is unbelievable . I wasn’t defending what the lasses have done I wasn’t excusing their decision to leave or whether they were mislead blackmailed or whatever . L this should be determined in a court of jaw and as they are British a British court of law and any penalties it imposes , The thought people are saying deny the unborn child a chance of life as a lesson to the mother disgusts me tbh. I want a trial to tell me fully what went on and how we gonna combat it in future etc.
That’s great, but in the civilised world, there’s a system based on evidence rather than twitter and the newspapers calling it. So until we relinquish all sanity to just going on peoples gut feelings based on the media we need to do the right thing. Otherwise what does separate us from head choppers in a city square in Syria apart from luck?
Just because she happens to have the same opinion (broadly) on one very specific situation doesn't mean I or anyone else is holding her up as a beacon of common sense.
