    I heard it was Mat Busby that didn’t want the tag and the pressures on Tommy so gave the tea lady a pound .
    Tommy didn’t want to go to Man U it was Richards that more or less forced him .

    Yes I think you’re right about the pound and not wanting to put pressure on the player.

    Tragic story all round though. If he’d stayed with us a bit longer he might still be alive today
