own...the MOTM vote on here is probably more of an accurate reflection of the performance of the players.
It is great to see that one player isn't dominating and shows the strength in depth we have in the team, reinforced by the fact that, whilst Moore is tops scorer, goals are coming from many different players.
Over the last few weeks we have had stellar perfomances from Mowatt, Brown, Thiam, Bahre, McGeehan and (dare I say it ) Davies - all fully justified.
It is not even a case of making the 'best of a bad job'! Many of the MOTM awards have been close run things after great overall team performances.
    Long may it continue!
Given the average age, whilst we can expect the odd 'blip' the team, individual players and manager (who is becoming more and more tactically aware and understanding English League football) they are getting better week on week. IMHO I see the potential for most of the 1st team to improve to the point of being able to hold their own in the Championship.
As has been said a few times by a number of posters, If /when we improve on final ball decision making, all the hard work and skill shown in build up, one touch passing moves, and fast breaks will result in the ball hitting the back of the net far more often than it is doing currently. God help the opposition when that happens!

Any idea how many people on average vote for the official morning? Would be interesting to know if it's a handful or a few hundred

    oops! My bad!

I think -possibly- posters on the BBS who either attended the match or watched it on iFollow have had more time to reflect on the match than making a snap decision at the ground before the final whistle. That said I have not looked at the correlation between MOTM there and on here. Quite possible they pretty much align but given, as I said, so many must be a close run thing between two or three players then they may differ unless there is a standout performance like Mowatt's yesterday. Aside from the 'sun assisted' goal he absolutely bossed the midfield.

So basically you didn’t know how it was voted and you haven’t bothered to check if it draws a similarity with the bbs vote or not!! but then you’ve gone onto making a huge assumption abouts it’s results. Nice one!

WTF!! My post was about the fact that we have several players getting MOTM awards and that we are not a one player team i.e. strength in depth. Why do you feel you have to make a personal dig?

Because it had no basis on fact at all. You even used the word possibly twice and admitted you hadn’t looked at the facts you claimed in the OP. I guess I wasn’t surprised really based on previous. It’s an interesting topic though wether or not the bbs represents the majority of reds fans it not, I’d hazard a guess as a microscopic sample of posters we veer from one extreme to the other but with a greater sampjecwe represent something quite similar to the masses.

Eh we like a good row on here don’t we. Can you imagine what it would be like with four of us in a phone Box. There would soon be the Barnsley Peoples Front; the Peoples Front of Barnsley; the Popular Front for the People of Barnsley and the Real Barnsley Peoples Front.

Err .... confused!! "...used the word possibly???? twice" !! Did I or didn't I? What "fact(s)" did I claim? My opening sentence, just to remind you, a was:

"..the MOTM vote on here is probably more of an accurate reflection of the performance of the players." Probably means I was not stating a fact but a possible option.

You appear to be confrontational and argumentative and based on previous (two can play that game) you seem to nit-pick and especially in this case, chosen to ignore the main thrust of the OP, instead choosing to 'point score'. Gally corrected my assumption which I acknowledged so I don't see why you are making such a big issue over a trivial slip up.

Whatever floats your boat I suppose.

I've been having similar problems. I thought I'd found a picture of Mowatt to vote for (although he looked a bit different). I swiped to vote for him and now he will not leave me alone. I appreciate that he's grateful for my vote, but some of what he's suggesting is taking fan engagement way too far.
