From what the chairman has said this morning, Sunderland would need to get back to the Prem with Grigg playing for them to pay out near the 4 million quoted. There's a huge amount of add ons by all accounts.
Big gamble. The lad can score at this level, but that is way too much to pay for a third flight team. He won't have much resale value if they have to make a fire sale.
I just hope a transfer like the Grigg one to Sunderland hasn't raised the bar too much. There aren't many other clubs that will be able to sign players in such an inflated market.
