    OK. I have taken some of the other posts on here saying that he was out of contract this summer as gospel.

    GG would beg to differ, I don’t know why the official site actually bothers sometimes as people can’t be arsed reading it seems

    Chief Executive Gauthier Ganaye offered the following comment: “Having spoken with both Daniel [Stendel] and Lloyd at the beginning of this transfer window, it was always our intentions to find a solution. Lloyd only has six months left on his contract and he isn’t featuring in the current plans, so both the club and the player were happy to find a new club for him. We are happy to see him head back to an area he is from to be near his family.

    Barnsley have signed winger Lloyd Isgrove on a three-year deal after he was released by Southampton.

    Chronicle:
    Isgrove, 24, was a free agent after leaving boyhood club Southampton at the end of the season. He has signed a three-year contract with Barnsley.


    From our official site: Lloyd returned to Oakwell in the summer of 2017, signing a two-year deal with the Reds.

    Ganaye today: Lloyd only has six months left on his contract


    All seems a bit confusing. As you say if the loan takes him to the expiry of his contract then why a loan unless we are paying some of the wages

    Think it might be a two year with option of third in favour of the club which they have rightly declined imho.
