Well if any more players were to leave the club to be near their families,we would be very
down to the bones.Wish him all the best, shame it did not work out this time round.

Wow I thought we would be selling him so we at least get something out of strengthening a promotion rival.

I assume they're covering his wages. Still seems odd to me though .

On one hand it's allowing another of our players to join a promotion rival.

On the other hand it frees up a fair chunk of wages to hopefully strengthen.

Not made my mind up yet.

There was no way a half decent team was going to risk signing him on a permanent with his injury track record.

At least a loan to Pompey and hopefully a run of games might give him a good chance of securing a deal with them in the longer term come summer.

I’d have rather have sold him, a loan is a very different situation from the moncur one.

Still if he can’t get in our team what makes us think he’s going to get in Pompeys? They have Ronan Curtis and Jamal Lowe who id snap your hand off for so I can only see isgrove warming the bench.

He’s not bad to have as an impact sub I guess if fit, and that’s a big if however

Im sure the club will have tried to sell but if hes on good wages there's very little they can do. He could've just run down his contract til summer.

I would guess we would have preferred a sale but I'm sure due to his fitness and lack of game time they need to be sure they sign a fit player. It makes sense to me. The reality is if we felt it was better for us for him to stay or play for Pompey then we had a choice to make and made it.

I can't imagine any fee would have been a great deal for an injury prone player with only a few months on his contract, at least loaning him out means he can't play a blinder against us plus it we'll have freed up his wages

Seems silly to keep giving players to direct rivals.

I wonder if we've a recall in his loan. Say he goes there and bangs in a handful of goals and assists to get them up automatically we would surely want him back for the play offs.

I'm not certain but I think you can't recall outside of transfer windows.

I think thiam has more league goals and assists this season than Izzy does in his fifty odd appearances for us.

If they're covering all his wages, then why don't we just release him from his contract and off he goes?

If his contract runs out in the summer, what's the point in him coming back?

There must be summat I'm too thick to comprehend here.

If he were to start playing wek after week it might beg the question, who's been pulling the wool over who's eyes regarding injuries, fitness etc.
