or Stendel going to struggle to see this through, think we have done well to take 4 points out of 6,after management team ripped apart, hope Stendel can find the right guy to lean on as pressure mounts
So it's Dale's fault that we've been off it these last 2 games? I see Luton's management have been ripped apart too. How are they doing?
Massive overreaction. You can’t judge it on one or two games. Winkler was assistant when we played Shrewsbury which was one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from a Barnsley team. What was the excuse then?
Lol at you saying massive over reaction ,then saying Shrewsbury was one of worst ever performances by barnsley team
Trust me, it was. My point, however, is you can’t say the reason we performed badly is because we don’t have Winkler as assistant because we performed badly at times when he was here.
It wasn't as bad as altrincham I can assure you ,but as for your point ,I'm not blaming anyone, just think a guy who lacks English as a first language needs someone like winkler in to help
No we have not,but the pressure on Stendel is going to get more more and intense,it's only my opinion but feel he needs another fluent English speaking German coach to help him see us into top 2
Could you explain why you’ve come to this conclusion? What is it that Tonge is doing differently to Winkler? How’s it affected the team negatively? Can he not ‘lean on’ Stern & Tonge?
No but we were very lucky to come away with so many points from two of the worst teams in the league.
Yes but it’s based on nothing. How can anyone say ‘a new assistant is needed asap’ unless they’re in the know somehow from Stendel or someone behind the scenes. For all we know Stendel could be perfectly happy with Tonge been promoted temporarily as he knows the club & the players & feels that bringing in an outsider would do more harm than good mid-season. If you had posted ‘I hope that if Stendel wants a new assistant in place that the clubs working hard to make it happen’ then fair enough I think we’d all agree but your post gives the vibe that Dale Tonge’s making a balls up or that Stendel is really unhappy with the situation. Just seems a complete over reaction to drawing a game.
The communication angle is a worry. No dig at Tonge but if there is a problem between him/Stendel/players in discussing tactics etc then it may explain the sudden fall off in form. Certainly a couple of weeks back these last two matches looked like a comfortable six points, where in fact they have been a hard won four Given Scunthorpe’s current form, their free midweek and the Hammill effect, Saturday’s match promises to be another tough match where we will need to be at our best
