It certainly makes a difference if he had or not but its certainly brought the best out of Jacob Brown with Potts moving on.
But what pressure? I have not seen anything within the team that would suggest this. If you can prove this then I will happily consider your opinion, but unfortunately I just don’t see it.
Yes Nudger is right again We should never have let any players go, fukc the money. We needed him badly in this match
Great for Brown. Totally undermining the focus and concentration of: Lindsey Pinnock Moore Thiam McGeehan
It looks like you were waiting for the result to post this . I don’t think this would have been posted if we’d won. Today was about tactics and attitudes rather than lacking certain players imo
We were definitely stronger with Potts in the side, Brown has come on massively though but if we don't make a stand out signing before the window closes I will be disappointed in the new owners as I thought we would progress under their ownership but if we don't I still think we have enough to get promoted. Since Potts has left we have not dropped many points but performance quality has dropped slightly.
Waiting for the result ???? I’m good ......... but I’m not that good. I’m not talking about results - no matter what the result was - I’m talking about the dip in performance.
I am still not sure what you are talking about? I do not understand why the players are under pressure. We won on Saturday and drew tonight, and I am certain that the performances over those games, which I admit the first half was not very good on Saturday, and tonight’s was poor, but we still ground out results. This is not down to pressure on the players from selling Potts, losing one player does not make the rest of the team rubbish, especially when Browny has stepped up his game significantly since Potts left and filled the void nicely.
Hell !!! Surely I don’t need to spell this out ?!?! Selling Potts - is sending a clear signal out that any first team player is up for sale. So other clubs make advances - because they assume that if Barnsley are willing to sell one of their best players they will probably sell some of their other better players. Resulting in transfer SPECULATION which is currently surrounding half of the first team. Consequently un-nerving half of the first team. Pressure is on. Chien Lee and the directors have unwittingly and naively opened the door to speculation. Did I really have to spell this out ???
To also put it into perspective we have scored 11 goals, conceded 4, amassed 10 points out of a possible 12 since Potts left, no pressure there I would say, but that’s just my opinion.
You did, because you have said that selling Potts is putting pressure on the other players, I say it isn’t. If you are referring to the fact that some players may be distracted by transfer speculation about them then I would also say that as far as I am aware there have been no bids for any other player in this window so far, most of the speculation is just that, speculation. Every club will sell players, we have sold 2 so far and it has not had an affect on the results: see my post about goals scored and points since Potts left. We are definitely going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
