I'm a Corbyn fan mate, a Labour Member, on the back of him being leader.

I'm disappointed though in his most recent performances. He's missed glaring opportunities to send the Tories packing.

If Corbyn was more Bernie Sanders, Labour would be streets in front at this point.

Bernie is warmer, a better communicator can connect to voters better than Corbyn even though they share pretty much the same values.

The one issue Corbyn has not dealt with well is the Anti Semitism claim within the party. He's even ended being called one himself, which is absolute BS, but he hasn't been able to set the record straight with any degree of assertiveness.

Is he perfect Prime Minister material, no. Is he the best option though to take this country forward, then thats a resounding yes imho.

Sanders is brilliant to listen to, unfortunately the elite/media in the US did the same as the press here.

I'm Labour through and through, but the problem with Corbyn (and Labour in general) is they just assumed that Wayne from Worsbrough didn't need reminding of the benefits of being in the EU and Debbie from Smithies would definitely see through the Leave campaigns lies without any help.

Because Corbyn and Labour didn't plump for a side in the war for Brexit they just came across as being apathetic. I know Corbyn holds no love for the EU and I'm sure he doesn't give two shats if we're in or out, but if he wanted Labour to win the next GE he should have at least tried to look like he cared.

But, like you say, he's not the PM most folk want, but he's probably the PM we need. I know I'd rather have a Corbyn led Labour Government than the embarrassment we're currently saddled with.

If you read the article Homer, you would discover that Barnsley Central Government income has diminished by 50%,since 2010. Local government rules say that Councils have to fund Social Care ,to Children, vulnerable people and Elderly. This currently takes up 60% of the Council budget. They are only allowed to increase local taxes by set limits. The Council has won awards through this period for it's management, there is a lot of nonsense, urban myths and lies, spoken about our council. Imagine if your income (or BFCs) wa reduced by 40%, how would you cope?

There are some really interesting points made in "all out war" which recounts the Brexit build up and fall out. There are many references to Labour agreeing a stance and being given slots in the grid (part of the campaign machinery to give air time to certain topics by certain voices and ensure they aren't drowned out my competing voices and topics) to campaign and they either didn't provide content, or didn't attend meetings or just point blank changed their minds at the last minute meaning there were days allocated to labour to convince Labour voters of staying in the EU that went empty.

Corbyn and McDonnell openly stated they wouldn't share a platform with a tory or ex labour grandees. And of course, there were several lukewarm interviews Corbyn gave that only increased the questions of what he might vote for, especially with his track record.

Its my perception, but I firmly believe, despite what the PLP and labour membership all believe, Corbyn would very gladly vote to leave and have no qualms about it. He's dragged his heels on numerous things and only allowed the vaguest most open text to be noted as to next steps.

But yes, I very much hold a similar view that Labour didn't campaign anywhere near as effectively (Corbyn travelled miles, fine, but its about message and content and conviction, and on the EU, he certainly lacked that in the number of examples I saw.) or with the intent required. A pro remainer Labour leader might just have made sufficient difference to change the minds of people.

I actually think Jeremy Corbyn is the closest you could ever get to “a proper Labour Party” as you put it. Seems very strange there are people who jump on the i wont vote for him bandwagon but can’t actually say why though. The media have a lot to answer for

Imagine people from Barnsley voting for the party behind this.

Imagine someone who is supposed to have the interests of Barnsley and Barnsley football club actually giving money to the fuckers. No, that would never happen. It's unthinkable.

Yes, Cryne was a Tory, which does bother me to an extent. Think he was one of their biggest donors back in the early 00s...

ahhh, I see the "hair splitters" back
ahh so you revert to abuse, glad to see you haven't changed about right for you that. berneslai homes is the council but with a different coat on, it still doesn't alter the fact that my little back street is like a the council yard down smithies where most of the berneslai homes vans are parked, wonder if they rent off the council ?
