To be fair the opening post and the moderator speak well. The morons however moaning about attacking families.... hmmmm
Respect your point but don't think I am - it's all too common. Like the Irish lad who was left in a coma after the European tie... got loads of comments about scousers and trouble. Bloke was having a pint outside a home pub
If you google it the daily mail has a video of both sets of fans, about a dozen aside having a go at each other and one appears to be slashed across face who had up to that point been right in the thick of it. Do we know if its a Scouser or a Millwall fan who's been slashed??
I think his main point was the way the op said "of course aided by scourers" which I took to mean "and as usual scourers were involved" when in reality we all know that Millwall scum don't discriminate. They will attack anyone from any club regardless of age or sex. Yes Everton fans were involved and a lot were just as guilty as the Millwall scum but it's the "of course" part which I and presumably Liverpool red took as meaning once again
Anyone with a passing knowledge of English football in the past few decades should surely be able to sense how the phrase "aided by the Scousers of course" might be inflamatory in relation to football violence. I trust and hope the OP wasn't meaning to bring up old and false perceptions about what happened in South Yorkshire 30 years ago. As for Millwall... they really don't help themselves do they? I would have a degree of sympathy for the fact that they are targeted and seen as a scalp by the idiotic elements of other clubs, thus leading to trouble. But the comments on that forum deny them any of my sympathy. Always claiming it's a small minority and never admitting the scale of the problem. Lambasting the media for concentrating on this not the win, as though it's commonplace at every ground in the country. Even those who condemn it congratulate themselves on not seeking out violence as though they should be rewarded for only getting involved when it comes their way. There is a poisonous culture at that club which seems so endemic that they are unable to understand how this isn't such an issue at almost any other club.
It's pretty clear from numerous videos that everton 'fans' were equally culpable. They went well out of their way to find people to fight with (the pub in bermondsay as well as surrey quays).
No. I didn't mean it like Liverpool Red read it but we are all guilty of mis-reading things. All I meant was that it wasn't all the Millwall thugs getting involved. Thanks of supporting me Titus
The first reply to that is incredible, it’s like he’s completely forgetting that they did the same to us at Wembley. Also it was all over social media that an Everton fan had been knifed before kick off so it’s only logical that trouble was going to carry on into the game
No problem! Hadn't seen anything like that from you before so was pretty certain it was misinterpreted. As you say, easily done
Correct! I wasn't even thinking about the Hillsbrough tragedy when I posted this. It was, maybe, the wrong thing to write down. For the absolutely FINAL TIME - I just meant that both sides of the moron brigade were involved. There, that probably upsets another faction. Oh well....
It was the of course part ... most clubs have history with Millwall. My apologies for being sensitive... this is my adopted home and seen too much crap written about Hillsborough and violence... I will stand up for the city just as I do for my home town of Barnsley. Never had an issue you with as a poster ... respect what you have to say so I apologise if I came across as arsey
I was initially going to say that board resembles a school playground with kids bragging about committing outrageous acts. Then I thought no, Schoolkids wouldn’t be so immature. The last time I saw anything like this was when I read the same board after our Wembley win. It’s always the ‘ other lot’ that are the aggressors and they simply retaliated and won the day. Fekin idiots the lot of them.
They don't take responsibility for anything. It's always other people's fault for provoking them, and that's that. I had to laugh at one post which went along the lines of "I never cause trouble, and try to avoid it, but I've been arrested a few times" it'll have been the polices fault no doubt.
