    Thought Rochdale did a good job on us tbf, and the fact that we won ugly is encouraging. We know we can win well when teams try to match us football-wise. More of those will do..

    Getting a win in a game like this, and the draw against Donny a couple of months ago, are the sort of results that successful sides get and can only maintain the confidence in the squad. 4 points from those games when we could have ended up with none.

    Can only praise Stendel today. Made a decisive change at half time (I don't think it was a particular criticism of Thiam more to change our shape and dominate midfield) and whilst we were well below par, we stayed patient and gradually picked a way through them.

    Legally they were doing it by closing us down playing a good pressing game and not giving us time
    Illegally they were doing it by stopping the game flowing by deliberate and excessive time wasting
    falling over at the slightest - or in some cases imagined contact
    shirt and arm holding or as last resort tripping players who were getting away from them - Didnt work on Cavare who managed to ride the fouls a few times ( but then messed up the final ball) but did work on most of the rest of our players

    A lot of what they did was fair and frustrating for us - but the gamesmanship was quite frustrating - though almost everyone does it these days
