Agree with letting Moore go but that's as far as it goes. He's a valuable member of the squad and our top scorer. If he's replace like for like and not some young buck from the Dog and Duck then fair do's. However, I don't want him to **** off not by a long chalk.
What get's me is all this we can't cope without "X" player and "Y" player. The coaching staff will have done loads off stuff in training with different formations with or without Moore.
Everyone's assuming the worst case scenarios. Bradshaw was sold Cauley Woodrow came in. What's saying there won't be a like for like replacement?
Yes lets keep selling em. Great idea. Hes one of the best strikers in this division. I keep hearing people saying 'we havent missed potts', thats kinda because were playing poor opposition and are doing so this saturday so yes we probably wont miss Moore on Saturday but just selling championship ready players is a terrible idea and will end in tears. Sell Moore for 2million and see what you can get in return, even if we were allowed to spend that money. Were only being whipped into a frenzy on the back of a couple a half pissed toothless mackem crones on their website saying 'the moore lad would be a good player for us' and a clickbait site picking up on it. Even we wouldnt be daft enough to sell Moore for 2 million and certainly not to sunderland.
No the point is if he bangs em in for a rival we’ve shot ourselves in the foot . He brings a lot more than goals to the team imo and would be very hard to replace at this point in season but definitely not to a rival .
Bids valuing more than double the 2m quoted on random social media outlets were rejected from clubs in the Championship at the back end of summer. So why now would we sell to a divisional rival for less than half? I think some guns need to be unjumped a bit. If you don’t believe the power of twitter go and set up an account, make up something semi believable, post it in the right locations and see how long it takes to get back here, to Tykesmad or Facebook.
